Answering a much asked question.....

I just wanted to answer a question that keeps coming up on the comments about Dagi. He is an Oriental longhair or also known as Mandarin or Javanese. This is not a cat for the novice as they are very much a part of your life. They don't like to be alone and are always there with you (preferably on your lap). They 'talk' to you constantly! They are an extremely difficult breed to find anymore in Holland. We tried to find a new kitten for years with no luck. These cats are not supposed to be alone and one breeder asked me how I coped. I told her I really believe that Dagi sees ME as the other cat and Jos as his owner.

How funny! I love that he thinks of you as a cat. The pets are so comforting when Mitch is gone. I know that they keep me aware of what is going on around me. I love that!

OH NO HEIDI
That cat is the owner, not Jos.
What were you thinking. This cat
will never believe he doesn't rule the world. At least the one he lives in.
Love you, Mom

What a marvelous name for a wonderful kitten. Adagio ... I have never heard it before and I think it is a perfect name for a cat.

What a difference from the normal stand-offish cat. I think that I might prefer that! I love cats and when I want to hold one, I want to hold one!

Love,
Julie

Heidi, hi there,
I had two cats in Cyprus and one of them would conduct a perfectly normal conversation with us!! It was wonderful to hear. Dr. Dolittle had nothing on us...haha! Adagio is absolutely beautiful and he knows it. Is he as languid and graceful as his name implies :>)
Hugs, Angela

I wonderd about the "hair" he did look like an Oriental short hair but NOT:)He is beautiful, but then he knows that. As the king of the castle it's good to present your best fetures always.
I don't have any of oriental breeds now and miss the quirks they bring to people ownership. I have run of the mill rescue kitties right now. Some of which I wish were just a little more cat like in their standoffishness ( is that a word?) To many cats and not enough lap.

That's how Spider is-totally dependent on being near me-but I must admit I love it!!
