Wonderful blogging friends.....

It has been a great experience to meet new friends around the world through blogging. I received my first gift from a blogging friend this Christmas and thought it would be fun to introduce her to you now as I show you my wonderful gifts.....

I received this pretty box which held some wonderful surprises. Kim from 'Ragged Roses' emailed me to get my address so she could send me some chocolate bourbons.

What she sent me was a box full of goodies...

Not only two packages of bourbons but also pretty tissues, a mulled wine kit, dark cherry chocolate bar,and a very special surprise of one of her handmade ragballs.

Kim sells these ragballs in her Etsy shop online and now that I have seen one real and up close, I must tell you that they are so adorable! This one smells wonderfully of lavender too. I tied a bow in the ricrac and hung it in my Christmas tree. I was thinking how cute these would be hanging a couple of them in a window for January. They look like snowballs and would set a pretty winter scene.

You can see Kim's blog at http://raggedroses.blogspot.com/ and there is a link there to her Etsy shop also. She has a wonderful home and shares glimpses of it on her blog.

Thank you so very much Kim for your thoughtfulness!

Hello Heidi - I am so glad the bourbons reached you safely! thank you so much for your generous mention, it is very kind of you. I had fun making up the parcel for you and I hope it will be the first of many, so you need to let me know when you are running low on bourbons! Hope you're having a good few days before
New Year.

Hello, me again! I just wanted to say how beautiful the photos are on the post below. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before and had to call my hubby in to take a look. It really is a winter wonderland.

What a lovely box of goodies! And is it not wonderful to be part of this blogging community? I have made so many new friends through blogging, received gifts, and even met some of them. It is so rewarding and such a pleasure.

Regarding your query about Christmas decorations in my blog; the tradition here in Norway is the same, only we call it the 13th day of Christmas, when we take the decorations down. I am not quite the traditionalist, though, and tend to remove my Christmas (along with the tree) on New Year´s day (or the 2nd of January at the latest). As for the needlepoint cushion I have stitched (a summer wreath), I have given it to my mother in law, so no pics to show in my blog, unfortunately.

I do hope you are enjoying the last days of Christmas and of 2007, and want to wish you all the best for 2008.

Oh Heidi,
What a wonderful gift. I can smell the lavender from here. I just love that fragrance and use it a lot in my work. I could surround myself in it and never tire of it. You box of treats has definitely found a good home. What lovely people there on out there in the land of the never never...Or is it the ever ever :>)
hugs, Angela

So happy you received your Bourbons - I wish I'd thought to buy some when home in Oct., I love them! Such a thoughtful parcel - don't you just love opening surprises?
The rag balls are so sweet - I must use up my mountains of hidden fabrics for something similar - when time permits. Oh for more time Heidi - so much to create, just not enough hours.
In my post today, while sipping my morning latte - wish you were here to have one too - I wrote about my new journal for 2008. This will be something I can handle in a few minutes a day, right?
Do you have an e-mail address you can share with me please? Sometimes I want to write you more.
You can access mine via my profile if you care to share yours.
What's happening there for New Year's Eve - a big celebration party or a quiet time with just Jos and Dagi?
