Uncertainty

Uncertainty is the theme of the day today. I have been waiting for the specialist at the hospital to review my ultrasound taken weeks ago at another hospital and get back to me about an appointment. We found out yesterday that the assistants had not even put my file up for review with the doctors at that point while we had been waiting for two weeks. They finally did review it yesterday and called immediately to say that I had to come in as it is an emergency. I am really not looking forward to this and very afraid of doctors and needles and the lot. I do hope to keep up but with the uncertainty of what is going to happen tomorrow, I thought I should let you know that I may not be able to be online on and off. We will just wait and see how it goes but hopefully I will still be around to say hello on all of your blogs with little to no interruption.

I am grateful for each of your kind thoughts, positive energy and prayers. I wanted to share this thought as a way to say thank you...

"Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy -- because we will always want to have something else or something more."

Well, needless to say, I am on pins and needles waiting to hear what tomorrow brings. I have been checking airline prices just in case you have to have surgery, but I am praying meds will help and you won't need it. I sure hope Jos can stay with you. I know how you handle these appts. and they better have a good place for you to lie down, or at least sit. NO PASSING OUT ALLOWED.
Love you, Mom

Heidi, I will be thinking about you all day! I hope that it goes the way you want it too. I too have a bit of uncertainty right now. I have had 2 abnormal chest xrays in 3 weeks and am going to have a CAT scan tomorrow due to a number of undetermined spots. Thinking of you!

Heidi,

I'm sending you a virtual hug. I will keep you in my thoughts and send good vibes to you for a quick and painfree solution! When you start going through whatever they put you through - go to a "good place in your mind" - just start planning another quilt or thinking about the colors you want to add to one you are working on. When I go to the dentist, I start thinking about my stitching or knitting and planning things out in my mind - it really helps me to not think about what they are doing to me!!

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. The waiting can be so hard. All that time to think of the worst possible scenario is never good. The up side is that now you will be under doctor's care and hopefully will be feeling better very soon!

Thinking of you, Heidi, and sending all sorts of positive thoughts/vibes up north. This is a difficult time for you, but hopefully you will start to feel better very soon and you can look forward to some serious sleeping and stitching and quilting and reading.
