Most of the ornaments in my tree were made by my mother. This cute little scarecrow was also a gift from her. The witch tree top is something she bought me when she visited Salem, MA.
The 'trick or treat' magnet was a gift from my sister and I have an old Halloween card and a stuffed black cat wearing a Jack 'O Lantern sweater she sent me years ago also sitting by the tree.
Here is the pretty effect of the lighted branches! I put two of my three Halloween quilts out in this room too. There is a basket hanging beside the coat rack and I simply filled it with some orange maple leaves.
You wouldn't believe
On All Hallow Eve
What lots of fun we can make,
With apples to bob,
And nuts on the hob,
And a ring-and-thimble cake.

Have a wonderful weekend all!!!

How fun is this?!! Everything looks wonderful Heidi, but I especially love the witch tree topper and the lighted branches. Wish I could find those branches on this side of the pond!
Doesn't it look lovely when it's all lit up! I wouldn't ever want to take it down! xx
It all looks so lovely, Heidi! I'm sure your sister is enjoying looking down and loving it too! Those lighted branches are great! They'd be nice for Christmas too. ~ hugs, Lynda ♥
I just love the way this all turned out! The colors are perfect, and those lights make everything so welcoming :) I want to come to your house for "trick or treat" :)
Your house looks so lovely and what a wonderful tribute to your sister. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Love,
Julie
Oh heidi,
Your All Hallows Eve tree is so beautiful and such a lovely way to keep your sister in your mind. She would definitely approve. i just love the lit branches. i wish we could get things like that over here. The scarecrow is really pretty. Creativity runs in your family i see. it's altogether a wonderful display.
Hugs, Angela
Fabulous light show Heidi especially with your gorgeous quilts as a background - and so lovely to remember your sister this way.
Haven't found a garden fork yet! Am thinking of just taking ours out of the potting shed and using it - not doing much in there and I don't remember when we last used it! Then I need to find a lacy stencil - as I think that's what you must have used - and so appropriate as you create beautiful lace yourself.
I'm off to the garden now - watering and pruning - it's going to be 93 again today, grrrrrrr!!!
hi:
well, guess i better get matilda out, and all my brooms. the big one from you needs pressed, it is bending at the bottom. don;t you wish heidi would make you a matilda quilt too. hahahahahahaha.
love you, mom

I love your tree Heidi and all of the fun things you have on it and to see it with the lights on and the quilts in the background, very pretty. What a sweet rememberance to your sister and her memory.
Hugs - karen
You aren't kidding! She loved Halloween and played many a prank on Mandie and I come Halloween season! I never saw an adult that loved to dress up more than mom! :) The tree is precious!
Your tree is just wonderful and love how the lights make it look incredibly haunting! Better yet is the story of your mother and sister's contribution. How sweet!
xo,
Becky
