Hey Dagi.....it's tulip time!

The things I have to put up with being owned by this cat! Dagi decided that since I wanted to take a couple of photos in the living room, it was time to pose...

Great profile, don't you think? He just jumped right up in front of the camera as I was taking a shot. I think the caption should read "They don't want to see boring old photos of furniture and flowers...take me!"

We are back from Cranberry Cottage and I stopped at a tulip farm near where we get our groceries on Saturday morning to buy a few bouquets of tulips. Yes, it is tulip time here in Holland. Not the tulips in the fields as you see in the photos as that will start in April and May. It is time for (greenhouse) tulip bouquets at florists all over the country. I love the tulips as they are one of the few flowers I can have in the house without Jos reacting to the pollen.

I purchased a mix of double petal red tulips and a two colored (red and yellow tipped) single tulips.

Remember my chair makeover? Well, we love the results so much that we are now keeping the chairs in the living room. I had to borrow a table from beside my big leather chair to set up a little corner with these chairs. Now I have to shop for a new end table.

You should tell about the tulips growing in water. I sure never knew they did that.

Lol, Heidi, Dagi (we have the same name written like this) means "Fatty" in my language, but it is a tiny name.
And your tulips are beautiful, they are nice on the table. I can understand you like the chairs. And I enjoyed the plates, I usually buy cheap fabric there for my dolls, bags etc. I loved your invite, but I am too far I think... But go to west in summer, so I can wave to you then! :D I hope you will see me waving :D

Oh Heidi I'm so jealous of those tulips. I just posted a few days ago that I'm ready for spring, tulips and daisies. So I'll have to just pop over here and look at yours when the winter doldrums get me down.

Love,
Julie

HI DAGI!!! :) Oh how funny! That is so like him! I just love the tulips! I would say our seasons are a BIT different! If they don't grow in ice, then they won't be found anywhere near here! :) I have missed visiting your blog! I am sooooo glad to be back! :) I will be catching up this week! LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cute kitties and colorful tulips, what more does a cozy home require?

Dear Heidi, as you may remember, tulips are my fave flower - I fear mine may not be too good this Spring as we still have the drought.

Superman still here - progressing slower than expected due to extra repairs to the drywall - so helper of Superman arrived today!!

I want my cottage back!!!!

Dearest Heidi! First of all I do want to thank you for the lovely award you have given me! I do truly appreciate it! And I am ever so sorry for not having visited you and said so earlier. But, you see, I had to travel abroad (quite suddenly) for the whole of last week, and just returned home this weekend. So I have not had a chance to blog earlier. But, thank you sooo much! And I do wish to return the compliment; you are quite an amazing blogger yourself!

I do love your red tulips (tulips are really my favourite springtime flower, along with daffodils). Your gustavian chairs look very charming too, with the makeover you have given them. Charming is also your lovely cat, he really is a darling!
