Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas...

I had taken some photos of our beautiful heavy frost but they are blurred so I will take some tomorrow and share them with you on my next blog entry. That will be later next week as we are leaving for Cranberry Cottage now through to the Dutch 2nd Christmas Day (Wednesday).

This is our sidetable in the living room. I just adore reproduction cards of Santas from the Victorian period. I have been framing the cards I have found over the years. Whenever I find a frame I really like I save it for one of these cards.

I love amaryllis at Christmas time, don't you? This old looking bowl is a find from many years ago and I still love it. It is fun to find different ways to use it. At Christmas, it looks really pretty with pine and flowers in it.

Remember my love of old red books? Here are three Christmas books I have. The large one on the bottom was a gift from my sister and is very special to me. It is a compilation of 'fireside stories' for Christmas. The little plate was a find last year at an Christmas open house in a beautiful shop up north that I visited.

I wish all of you a truly wonderful and blessed Christmas! No matter where you are and whether you are enjoying winter weather or not, enjoy your holiday!

Have a wonderful Christmas at the cottage Heidi, I will think of you often when I am visiting Kristy and Mandie and the families. Watch to see if you can find the house in the tree that is on Carolein's blog.

I hope your Christmas spent at Cranberry Cottage will be full of peace, joy and much happiness - and I course I really know that it will!!! How can you leave all those pretty decorations at home - will you be decorating the cottage too? The red bound books are lovely and a great idea for the season.

I'll drink to your good health - Jos too - and blessings for the coming year dear Heidi. I'm thankful for many blessings and knowing you is certainly one of them.

Looking forward to hearing about your holidays when you return on Boxing Day (an English holiday of course) - stay warm and have a joyous time. Bob and I will have the children and grandchildren over on Christmas Eve then spend a quiet relaxing day here on the
25th. I plan to sit by a roaring hearth and read my new books!

Love and hugs - Mary.

Heidi - such wonderful photos! Ironically I was just thinking today as I looked over the beautiful Christmas cards we've received this year that I should frame some of the extra-special ones as decorations for future years. Seeing your Santas confirmed that it is a good idea. Merry Christmas & have a wonderful time at Cranberry Cottage.

Heidi, I love your framed Santa cards. I love all things Victorian, too especially the beautiful greetings cards and postcards. I have been collecting them for many years but they are very rare nowadays.
I have enjoyed reading your blogs all this year and look forward to more delights in the new year. Enjoy your stay at Cranberry Cottage. What a lovely setting to be in at Christmas :>)
Merry Christmas, Angela
