Birthday celebrations!

A year ago I decided to create a second blog which would be a place to reflect on my feelings over the changing seasons and how I celebrate those seasons in my home and garden. The year has flown by. I really feel blogging has heightened my appreciation of the passing times of the year. I have learned to look at things with even more detail than I imagined possible. It has helped to me slow down and appreciate the moment.

Blogging has also helped me to meet new friends and stay better in touch with old ones. It has given my family as well as friends a chance to peek into my garden or come up and knock on the front door.

To thank you, I am going to draw a name from those who comment on this post. With this being the autumn season, I have made an autumn fob which you can see in the photo. A fob can be used either to dress up your scissors or to hang from a purse or cell phone. The winner will receive this fob and some pretty napkins that Celebrate The Seasons! Please leave your message here before midnight on Wednesday, November 21st. I will hold the drawing on Thanksgiving Day which seems very appropriate to say how thankful I am for each of you who read my blog.

The fob is gorgeous Heidi! I love the colors you used for the beads, and the little acorn and leaf charm is just the perfect finishing touch.

I am also very grateful for the many friends I have made across the pond.

Good morning Heidi!
I don't see this blog very often. I usually look at all your beautiful work on Needle Necessities! Thanks for reminding me this one was here.

Happy birthday!
Love,
Terri
P.S. The fob is lovely. What kind of wire/thread do you use to make it?

What an honor it would be to actually have a 'Heidi in Holland' original to ooh and aah over!! Please enter me in your drawing - that fob is just so beautiful - I could easily find a place to display and enjoy!

When is your B'day Heidi? Celebrate and have a wonderful time whenever.

My sister-in-law (who now lives in France) has just spent a few days in Prague and wrote me about it's beauty today. It's where I wanted to go for Christmas - can't do it this year, perhaps next! Have you visited there by chance?

I'm off to SuzAnna's this morning - cleaned out some 'stuff' and they will try to sell it for me. It's chilly but we haven't used the fireplace yet - perhaps over the weekend. Tomorrow morning is the Christmas Parade downtown and as it will be cold I might just come home and throw a few logs on and welcome another season. Enjoy the weekend there and take care.

Hello Heidi,

What a beautiful giveaway...I am so glad that I passed through this evening, because now I will be entered in your draw.

Blogging has been a wonderful experience for me ~ I've met so many lovely people and made some good friends. I recently started a second blog, although it has not really got established yet ~ I wanted to be able to write about more personal things than I want to include in my business blog.

Have a great weekend.

Okay Heidi,
When you first started this blogging stuff I thought it was silly. Now you, Mom, and Kristy have gotten me into the crafting bug with my knitting project. I am determined to finish this sweater even if it doesn't fit me. It may become a gift. We'll see. I am afraid it may be longer and skinnier than me. Ha! Ha!
Love,
Bull

You're a terrible teaser, dear Heidi!
I had the occasion to know your blogs when I stitched Mari-Ros Gros from Anne-Valerie, and today, after reading your post about Cranford,(that we still don't have in France) I found myself ordering from Amazon two books from E. Gaskell (in english, that's how they are the better!!). That's why I want to wish you a Happy Blog's Birthday, because I'm so grateful to you to enlight my days (and maybe more, to your mom for her kind support... I envy your writings on four hands!!). Hugs from Paule (from France).
